Reward Feedback Mechanism in Virtual Reality Serious Games in Interventions for Children With Attention Deficits: Pre- and Posttest Experimental Control Group Study.

JMIR Serious Games

February 2025

Engineering Research Center for Big Data Application in Private Health Medicine of Fujian Universities, Putian University, Putian, China.

Background: Virtual reality (VR) serious games, due to their high level of freedom and realism, influence the rehabilitation training of inhibitory control abilities in children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Although reward feedback has a motivating effect on improving inhibitory control, the effectiveness and differences between various forms of rewards lack empirical research.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of different forms of reward feedback on the inhibitory control abilities of children with attention deficits in a VR serious game environment.

The generation of three-dimensional (3D) molecules based on target structures represents a cutting-edge challenge in drug discovery. Many existing approaches often produce molecules with invalid configurations, unphysical conformations, suboptimal drug-like qualities, limited synthesizability, and require extensive generation times. To address these challenges, we present 3DSMILES-GPT, a fully language-model-driven framework for 3D molecular generation that utilizes tokens exclusively.

Sequence labeling via reinforcement learning with aggregate labels.

Front Artif Intell

November 2024

Center for Cognitive Interaction Technology, Bielefeld University, Bielefeld, Germany.

Sequence labeling is pervasive in natural language processing, encompassing tasks such as Named Entity Recognition, Question Answering, and Information Extraction. Traditionally, these tasks are addressed via supervised machine learning approaches. However, despite their success, these approaches are constrained by two key limitations: a common mismatch between the training and evaluation objective, and the resource-intensive acquisition of ground-truth token-level annotations.

In severe mental illness (SMI), such as schizophrenia, rehabilitation begins immediately. Aside from the token economy, there is limited literature on behavioral modification (BM), which is a crucial aspect of rehabilitation for person with severe mental illness (SMI). We demonstrate the implementation and effectiveness of BM for one year in managing behavioral difficulties in a person with SMI.

Large-scale Language Models (LLMs) utilizing the Chain-of-Thought prompting demonstrate exceptional performance in a variety of tasks. However, the persistence of factual hallucinations remains a significant challenge in practical applications. Prevailing retrieval-augmented methods treat the retriever and generator as separate components, which inadvertently restricts the generator's capabilities to those of the retriever through intensive supervised training.
