[Staining of the surface layer in jaw tumors].

Dtsch Zahnarztl Z

Published: October 1977

In the histological preparation for surface layer staining, saw cuts 100-300 micrometer thick of undecalcified bone or tooth are made with or without alloplastic implantation material. Only one side of the cut is stained for 4 hours. During this time the stain penetrates about 15 micrometer into the preparation. Deeper-lying cells and structures remain unstained and appear merely as shadows that are not troublesome. The time-consuming process of making thin sections is dispensed with and variously stained serial sections are possible.

Objectives: This study aimed to develop an automated method for generating clearer, well-aligned panoramic views by creating an optimized three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction zone centered on the teeth. The approach focused on achieving high contrast and clarity in key dental features, including tooth roots, morphology, and periapical lesions, by applying a 3D U-Net deep learning model to generate an arch surface and align the panoramic view.

Methods: This retrospective study analyzed anonymized cone-beam CT (CBCT) scans from 312 patients (mean age 40 years; range 10-78; 41.

Building anion-derived solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) with enriched LiF is considered the most promising strategy to address inferior safety features and poor cyclability of lithium-metal batteries (LMBs). Herein, we discover that, instead of direct electron transfer from surface polar groups to bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (TFSI) for inducing a LiF-rich SEI, the dipole-induced fluorinated-anion decomposition reaction begins with the adsorption of Li ions and is highly dependent on their mobility on the polar surface. To demonstrate this, a single-layer graphdiyne on MXene (sGDY@MXene) heterostructure has been successfully fabricated and integrated into polypropylene separators.

Ammonium perchlorate (AP) is widely utilized in aerospace, defense and other fields due to its high energy density, exceptional stability, easy availability and adaptability. However, the high sensitivity and hygroscopicity of AP severely constrain its application in numerous fields. In this study, a two-step continuous coating method was employed to construct AP-based energetic microcapsules with low sensitivity and hygroscopicity.

In order to lower total energy consumption, this study focuses on optimizing energy use in refinery boilers. Using Aspen HYSYS simulations and modeling approaches like Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM), data from 579 days of boiler operation was gathered and examined. Radial Basis Function (RBF) and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) techniques were used in the ANN modeling.

Modification of the dielectric friction layer materials is an ideal way to enhance the output performance of a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG), but current research mostly focuses on the metal-polymer or metal-SiO materials. In this work, we constructed different TENG models based on polymer C F -SiO electret materials, and the electronic properties of the different contact surfaces were investigated using first principles. We found that the charge transfer in C F -SiO materials occurred only at the contact interface, and it was partially affected by the terminal atoms near the SiO interface.
