Vascular insufficiency may complicate chronic digital infection. The reasons for this are twofold: firstly the oedema associated with chronic inflammation causes venous obstruction and this may lead to arterial occlusion. This report has also shown that a second cause of vascular insufficiency may result from direct damage to the vessel walls by the invading organisms, which leads to infectious thrombosis, particularly of the venous structures.

Introduction: Arteriovenous (AV) fistula creation is the most common surgical procedure for providing vascular access for haemodialysis in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The functioning of fistula dictates the quality of dialysis and the longevity of patients. The most common circumstances that require surgical takedown of AV fistula are thrombosis and rupture.

Introduction: Patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) can experience intermittent claudication, which limits walking capacity and the ability to undertake daily activities. While exercise therapy is an established way to improve walking capacity in people with PAD, it is not feasible in all patients. Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) provides a way to passively induce repeated muscle contractions and has been widely used as a therapy for chronic conditions that limit functional capacity.

Background: Although guidelines have established endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) as the first-line option for patients with varicose veins (VVs) in chronic Great saphenous vein (GSV) insufficiency, however, Chronic Vein Insufficiency (CVI) remains a significant healthcare burden. Endovenous microwave ablation (EMA) is a promising alternative. This review aims to analyze the Endovenous Microwave Ablation versus Endovenous Laser Ablation for Varicose Veins in Chronic Great Saphenous Vein Insufficiency METHODS: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and cohort studies across PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, and the Cochrane Library up to November 11, 2024 was searched.

Introduction: Postoperative pain in ambulatory surgery (AS) continues to be a recurrent problem despite anesthetic and surgical advances. Analgesic prescription and follow-up by patients at home may be a determining factor. Our objective was to evaluate analgesic prescription and its impact on the intensity of postoperative pain at 24 h and 7 days in an AS unit.

Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) is a progressive vascular condition characterized by venous hypertension and chronic inflammation, leading to significant clinical and socioeconomic impacts. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of emerging pharmacological interventions for CVI, focusing on clinical outcomes such as pain, edema, cutaneous blood flow, and quality of life. Eligible interventions comprised new vasoprotective drugs, such as hydroxyethylrutoside, Pycnogenol, aminaphthone, coumarin + troxerutin, and Venoruton, compared to the standard therapy of diosmin and hesperidin.
