Personalized recommendation system to handle skin cancer at early stage based on hybrid model.

Network

January 2025

Computer Science and Engineering, Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS), Chennai, India.

Skin cancer is one of the most prevalent and harmful forms of cancer, with early detection being crucial for successful treatment outcomes. However, current skin cancer detection methods often suffer from limitations such as reliance on manual inspection by clinicians, inconsistency in diagnostic accuracy, and a lack of personalized recommendations based on patient-specific data. In our work, we presented a Personalized Recommendation System to handle Skin Cancer at an early stage based on Hybrid Model (PRSSCHM).

The purpose of this review was to analyse the literature regarding the correlation between the level of tryptamine, aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) signalling pathway activation, and monoamine oxidase (MAO)-A and MAO-B activity in health and conditions such as neurodegenerative, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric disorders. Tryptamine is generated through the decarboxylation of tryptophan by aromatic amino acid decarboxylase (AADC) in the central nervous system (CNS), peripheral nervous system (PNS), endocrine system, and gut bacteria. Organ-specific metabolism of tryptamine, which is mediated by different MAO isoforms, causes this trace amine to have different pharmacokinetics between the brain and periphery.

Removal of cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms (HABs) from contaminated local park lake using mycelial pellets.

Heliyon

January 2025

Functional Omics and Bioprocess Development Laboratory, Institute of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, 50603, Malaysia.

Eutrophication and hypereutrophication in lakes foster harmful blue-green algal blooms, which pose a significant threat to the ecological health of freshwater reservoirs. This study investigated the effectiveness of the bio-flocculation approach using the fungus strain BGF4A1 to remove these harmful blooms, specifically targeting cyanobacterial species like PCC-7914. Key flocculation parameters, cyanobacterial concentrations, adsorption kinetics, and pellet morphology were explored in this research.

Oxygen vacancy and interface effect dual modulation of SnS/SnO heterojunction for boosting formaldehyde detection at low temperature.

Talanta

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Biochemical Engineering, Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, 100190, PR China. Electronic address:

Formaldehyde (HCHO) is a harmful volatile organic pollutant, which is commonly found in interior decoration and furniture products. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a gas sensor that can quickly and accurately detect formaldehyde for human health and environmental protection. In order to achieve this goal, in this work, SnS/SnO heterostructure was synthesized by in-situ sulfurization process on the basis of SnO nanospheres, and its formaldehyde sensing performance was studied.

Exploring potentially synthetic genes related to diarrhetic shellfish toxins production in Prorocentrum sp. via comparative transcriptomics.

Ecotoxicol Environ Saf

January 2025

College of Life Science and Technology, and Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai), Jinan University, Guangzhou 510362, China. Electronic address:

Harmful algal blooms (HABs), exacerbated by climate change and environmental disturbances, pose global challenges due to marine toxin contamination, particularly diarrhetic shellfish toxins (DSTs). DSTs are prevalent marine toxins, and understanding their synthesis is vital for managing fisheries and mitigating environmental triggers. This study delves into the synthesis mechanisms of DSTs in Prorocentrum arenarium and Prorocentrum lima, which vary in toxin types and concentrations.
