It is challenging to image structures in liquids for electron microscopy (EM); thus, low-temperature imaging has been developed, initially for aqueous systems. Organic liquids (OLs) are widely used as dispersants, although their cryogenic EM (cryo-EM) imaging is less common than that of aqueous systems. This is because the basic properties (e.

Superconductivity in infinite-layer nickelates has stirred much research interest, to which questions regarding the nature of superconductivity remain elusive. A critical leap forward to address these intricate questions is through the growth of high-crystallinity infinite-layer nickelates, including the "parent" phase. Here, we report the synthesis of a high-quality thin-film nickelate, NdNiO.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) can be prepared from oligomeric organic ligands to prepare materials referred to as oligoMOFs. Studies of oligoMOFs are relatively limited, with most existing reports focused on fundamental structure-property relationships. In this report, functional groups, such as terminal alkynes and pyridine groups, are installed on the tether between 1,4-benzene dicarboxylic acid (Hbdc) groups of the dimer ligands.

Dual-band tungsten oxide (WO) electrochromic films are extensively investigated, yet challenges persist regarding complex fabrication processes and limited cyclic stability. In this paper, a novel approach to prepare graphdiyne quantum dots (GDQDs) doped WO films with a hexagonal crystal structure, is presented. Structural characterization reveals that the GDQDs/WO possesses a coral-like, loose structure with high crystallinity due to the synergistic modulation of morphology and crystallinity.

The preparation strategy is the important factor to obtain the effective photocatalyst, and the thermal decomposition could be used to prepare photocatalysts with high crystallinity and photoactivity. In this paper, thermal decomposition method was used to deposit CuO nanoparticles on TiO nanotube arrays (TiO NTs), and the TiO NTs/CuO exhibited remarkably high visible light absorption and photoelectrocatalytic performances toward dye degradation and Cr(VI) reduction. The potential degradation pathway and toxicities of rhodamine B (RhB) dyes and intermediates were investigated.
