Purpose: To determine the cause of retinochorioditis in a patient with a granulomatous retinal exudate and an exudative retinal detachment.
Case: A 45-year-old man presented at another hospital with increased visual disturbances of the left eye. He was diagnosed with uveitis, and treated with topical steroids for 1 month.

We report two cases of gallbladder ascaridiasis associated with acute hepatitis, its clinical evolution with conservative treatment, making diagnosis by both laboratory and ultrasono-graphic studies. Case 1: was a male in his early forties who experienced symptoms of acute hepatitis and cholecystitis within a time lapse of 72 h of evolution. When laboratory tests and ultrasound (US) were done, an ascaris inside gallbladder was corroborated.

We report herein the case of a 46-year-old woman investigated for recurrent acute cholangitis. Ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, and computed tomography scan revealed dilatation and multiple images suggestive of intrahepatic biliary stones in the ducts that drained segments V and VI of the liver. Endoscopic treatment was attempted unsuccessfully, and based on the severity of the last crisis of cholangitis a laparotomy was performed.

We report a case of biliary ascariasis which was detected fortuitously during a routine intraoperative cholangiography following laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The diagnosis was confirmed by the finding of worm eggs in the faeces. We were able to discharge the patient on the 15th postoperative day after antihelmintic treatment.
