Aim: Tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) represent a promising cancer biomarker. Different TILs, including CD8+, CD4+, CD3+, and FOXP3+, have been associated with clinical outcomes. However, data are lacking regarding the value of TILs for patients receiving radiation therapy (RT).

Early-stage laryngeal cancer (T1-T2) is commonly treated with organ-preserving techniques such as transoral laser microsurgery (TOLMS) or radiation therapy (RT), both providing comparable oncological outcomes but differing in functional results. Local recurrence occurs in approximately 10% of cases, making salvage surgery a crucial therapeutic option. This multi-institutional study investigates the efficacy of open partial horizontal laryngectomy (OPHL) as a salvage treatment, following recurrent laryngeal squamous-cell carcinoma (LSCC) after failed TOLMS.

As photobiomodulation is growing in the dental field the aim of this prospective, two-arm clinical trial was to assess the radiographic changes for chronic periapical bone lesions related to mandibular molars after primary root canal therapy with or without applying Diode laser on soft tissue. The samples were randomly divided into a Laser group and a mock laser (ML) group. Preoperative CBCT images were compared 12 months later with postoperative CBCT to gauge the changes in the volume of the bony lesion by two observers.

Whether preoperative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) or perioperative chemotherapy is superior for localized esophageal or gastro-esophageal junction (GEJ) cancers has been a topic of long-standing debate. For years, standard of care in the United States for localized esophageal or GEJ adenocarcinoma (EAC) has been physician's choice between the 2 strategies. More recently, adjuvant immunotherapy has also been introduced into the treatment approach for those who received neoadjuvant CRT.

Objective: The aim of this single-center case series is to demonstrate that an ultra-low dose (ULD) can be routinely achieved in the hybrid operating room in standard endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) for infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm by adjusting the manufacturer's predefined imaging parameters, hardware configurations and user protocols (including benchmarking).
Methods: The hybrid operating room manufacturer predefined EVAR software setup of the dose exposure control software (OPTIQ, Siemens Healthineers, Forchheim, Germany) at our university medical center was screened for possible improvements regarding radiation dose application. Tests on a water-equivalent as well as polymethyl methacrylate phantom model to assess the impact of technical settings were performed, including comparison of settings for exposure control software, different magnification, collimation configurations and detector distance.
