Objective: To provide evidence for further reducing the incidence of central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) according to investigation of the prevention and control of CLABSI in intensive care unit (ICU) in Shandong Province.
Methods: The questionnaire was developed by experts from Shandong Critical Care Medical Quality Control Center, combining domestic and foreign guidelines, consensus and research. A convenient sampling method was used to recruit survey subjects online from October 11 to 31, 2023 in the province to investigate the management status of central venous catheter (CVC) in ICU units of secondary and above hospitals.

The aims of this study were to develop a questionnaire on peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC) maintenance, evaluate its content validity, and assess factors influencing the level of knowledge of nursing professionals regarding best practices.The study was conducted in 3 stages: (1) development of a questionnaire on PIVC maintenance; (2) content validity assessment by experts with assessment of comprehensiveness, relevance, and clarity; and (3) application of the questionnaire to 1493 nursing professionals. Relationships between personal characteristics and knowledge levels were evaluated.

Introduction: This case report presents a rare instance of a ureteral stent, fashioned from a nasogastric tube, migrating into the inferior vena cava (IVC). The report underscores the importance of timely diagnosis and intervention to prevent severe complications.
Presentation Of Case: A 38-year-old woman presented with a ureteral stent, made from a nasogastric tube, found in the IVC following a previous surgery.

A late adolescent patient was admitted after a collapse and was found to have an intracranial haemorrhage due to an underlying midline arteriovenous malformation (AVM). The patient underwent trans-arterial squid embolisation of the AVM with good radiological resolution. 18 months later, the patient presented with new onset headaches.
