Introduction: Agricultural workplaces have a high number of incidents and fatalities, with the majority occurring from machinery use. Farmers' behaviour plays a critical role in maintaining safety, as improper or unsafe practices often lead to injuries and fatalities. This review categorises interventions targeting farm machine safety, examining both the behaviour change techniques (BCTs) used and their reported outcomes to understand how the techniques influence safety practices and outcomes on farms.

The risk of Parkinson's disease (PD) associated with farming has received considerable attention, in particular for pesticide exposure. However, data on PD risk associated with specific farming activities is lacking. The present research aimed to evaluate whether two sensors, optical and laser, could highlight the change in olive trees' canopy structure due to pruning. Therefore, two proximal sensors were mounted on a ground vehicle (Kubota B2420 tractor): a multispectral sensor (OptRx ACS 430 AgLeader) and a 2D LiDAR sensor (Sick TIM 561). The multispectral sensor was used to evaluate the potential effect of biomass variability before pruning on sensor response.

Background: Agriculture is a hazardous industry, with tractor-related incidents being among the leading causes of traumatic injury and death. These injuries tend to take place far away from hospitals, thus leading to increased prehospital time to receive care. Understanding the relationship between prehospital time and outcomes such as hospital length of stay and mortality in the state of Nebraska could inform resource allocation for tractor related injuries.

Soil compaction by agricultural machinery in general by and tractors in particular is an important problem in modern agricultural production. Such compaction destroys the soil structure, creates unfavorable physical parameters of the soil, and as a result, reduces crop yields. Therefore, it is important to clearly establish how the tractor wheels affect the soil.
