Background: Gastric bezoars are indigestible masses that can lead to gastrointestinal obstruction and ulceration. Standard treatments include endoscopic mechanical lithotripsy with a polypectomy snare and Coca-Cola dissolution therapy or a combination of both approaches. However, giant bezoars frequently require multiple treatment sessions and extended hospital stays.

For gastric leiomyomas measuring ≥5 cm, endoscopic resection is necessary. The larger size of these tumors significantly impairs the resection field of view, increasing the risk of intraoperative bleeding and perforation and potentially leading to incomplete tumor removal. The combination of dental floss and tissue clip traction techniques is commonly used for resecting mucosal lesions but is rarely reported for submucosal tumors.

Localized light chain amyloidosis is considered to be a plasmacytic B-cell lymphoproliferative disorder caused by antigenic induction. A hypothesis has been proposed that antigen-induced local plasmacytic B cells produce amyloidogenic proteins that are processed into amyloid fibrils in giant cells leading to amyloid fibril deposition. However, the inciting antigen exposure or immune response that signals plasmacytic B-cell infiltration, activation, and selection, is unknown.

Douglas abscesses (DA) involving the ovaries and/or fallopian tubes and tubo-ovarian abscesses (TOA) constitute a very rare finding in virginal females. Underlying conditions are suspected to play a role in their development; often however, the exact pathomechanism remains hypothetical or unknown. We report the case of a 19-year-old virginal female who was referred to our outpatient clinic for further clarification of a 6-month ongoing secondary amenorrhea.
