Neurogenic bladder (NB) is a group of bladder and/or urethral dysfunctions caused by neurological lesions, commonly seen in patients with lumbar spine diseases, manifesting as urinary storage and voiding dysfunction, significantly affecting patients' quality of life. Degenerative changes or trauma to the lumbar spine can lead to narrowing of the dural sac, compressing the sacral nerve roots, cauda equina or blood vessels, causing bladder dysfunction and leading to NB. Diagnostic methods for NB include history taking, physical examination and noninvasive and invasive tests, such as urodynamic testing and cystoscopy.

High-altitude pulmonary hypertension (HAPH) is a condition characterized by elevated pulmonary arterial pressure exceeding normal physiological values, resulting from a combination of high-altitude low-pressure, hypoxic environments, genetic susceptibility, immune dysfunction, and neurogenic disturbances. This condition predominantly manifests as right heart failure, severely impacting quality of life and life expectancy. Macrophages, as one of the most prevalent innate immune cells, have been increasingly recognized for their crucial role in the pathogenesis of HAPH.

The aging process results in structural, functional, and immunological changes in the brain, which contribute to cognitive decline and increase vulnerability to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), and stroke-related complications. Aging leads to cognitive changes and also affect executive functions. Additionally, it causes neurogenic and neurochemical alterations, such as a decline in dopamine and acetylcholine levels, which also impact cognitive performance.

The accurate diagnosis of regional lymph node metastasis is critical for guiding treatment decisions in head and neck cancer patients. Despite advances in imaging techniques, detecting nodal metastasis using radiology remains challenging, leading to potential undertreatment or overtreatment. This review aims to identify molecular markers associated with occult metastasis in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) patients.

Polyuria, or excessive fluid loss through the kidneys, is a common issue in neurocritical patients, often resulting from conditions such as fluid volume overload, osmotic diuretics, central diabetes insipidus (CDI), or cerebral salt wasting syndrome (CSWS). Notably, the specific cause of postoperative polyuria within 24 h in patients with tumors located in the supratentorial non-midline region remains poorly understood. To address this gap, we conducted a prospective observational study with 30 patients and found that eight (26.
