Accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) represents a valid option for adjuvant therapy of selected early breast cancer (BC). This single-institution prospective randomized study compares the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) between women treated with the highly conformal-external beam APBI technique and those with the more commonly used moderately hypofractionated whole breast irradiation (hypo-WBI). Eligible patients were women over 50 years with early BC (G1/2 DCIS ≤ 25 mm or G1/2 invasive non-lobular luminal-like HER2 negative carcinoma ≤ 20 mm) after breast-conserving surgery with negative margins.

The aim of this study is to develop a risk prediction model for the natural course in patients with non-surgical ICH and to evaluate its performance using a multicenter hospital-based prospective study of stroke patients in Japan.
Methods: We consecutively registered a total of 1,017 patients with acute ICH (mean age, 68 years) who underwent conservative treatment and followed them up for 3 months.

Introduction: Spontaneous rupture of the pathological malarial spleen (SRPMS) is a rare condition with a mortality rate among travelers of approximately 38 %, whereas it was around 10 % for local citizens. The mortality rate for overwhelming post-splenectomy sepsis was reported to be about 50 %.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted from febraury2022 to July 2022.

Introduction: Cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) represent a complex neurosurgical challenge with management strategies that vary significantly across regions. The decision to treat unruptured AVMs, in particular, is controversial, with options ranging from conservative management to surgical excision or endovascular embolization. This study investigates regional variations in treating unruptured and ruptured AVMs in the United States.
