Tin dioxide (SnO2) stands as a promising material for the electron transport layer (ETL) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) attributed to its superlative optoelectronic properties. The attainment of superior power conversion efficiency hinges critically on the preparation of high-quality SnO2 thin films. However, conventional nanoparticle SnO2 colloids often suffer from inherent issues such as numerous oxygen vacancy defects and film non-uniformity.

Alzheimers Dement

December 2024

National Center for Neurological Disorders, Shanghai, Shanghai, China.

Background: Evidence supporting cardiovascular diseases could increase the risk of dementia remains fragmented. A comprehensive study to illuminate the distinctive associations across different dementia types is still lacking. This study is sought to: 1) determine the clinical validity of Framingham General Cardiovascular Risk Score (FGCRS) for dementia assessment; 2) examine the associations between cardiovascular diseases and the risk of dementia.

Background: Impairments in sensory and motor function are common and have been independently linked with higher risk of dementia in older adults. Yet, there is limited information associated with the increasing number of such impairments and dementia risk. This study investigated longitudinal associations between sensory and motor impairment and dementia in older adults.

Alzheimers Dement

December 2024

Centre for Brain Research, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Background: Previous studies have reported that poor sleep quality is associated with several adverse outcomes including multimorbidity, particularly in the aging population. Another common occurrence in the elderly is frailty. We aim to study the mediating effect of objective physical frailty parameters on the association between sleep quality and multimorbidity in an aging rural Indian population.
