Background And Objective: Terbutaline is a β-agonist that used as growth promoters to improved carcass chemical composition of chicks without residues. The purpose of the present investigation is exploring the effect of different dietary levels and duration of terbutaline on the productive performance, biochemical and carcass quality traits including residue of acres broiler.

Materials And Methods: A total of 150 one-day-old arbor acres broiler chicks were allotted into 5 groups (3 replicates per each).

Uterine Tachysystole with Prolonged Deceleration Following Nipple Stimulation for Labor Augmentation.

Kathmandu Univ Med J (KUMJ)

November 2017

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maimonides Medical Center, 4802, 10th ave, Brooklyn, New York.

Breast stimulation for inducing uterine contractions has been reported in the medical literature since the 18th century. The American college of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has described nipple stimulation as a natural and inexpensive nonmedical method for inducing labor. We report on a 37 year old P2 with a singleton pregnancy at 40 weeks gestation who developed tachysystole with a prolonged deceleration after nipple stimulation for augmentation of labor.

Human small intestinal epithelial cells differentiated from adult intestinal stem cells as a novel system for predicting oral drug absorption in humans.

Drug Metab Dispos

November 2014

Discovery Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacokinetics Research Laboratories (T.T., J.K., M.C.), and Evaluation Research Laboratory (N.H.), Tsukuba Research Center, Taiho Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan; and Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nagoya City University, Nagoya, Japan (T.I., T.M.).

Adult intestinal stem cells (ISCs) possess both a long-term proliferation ability and differentiation capability into enterocytes. As a novel in vitro system for the evaluation of drug absorption, we characterized a human small intestinal epithelial cell (HIEC) monolayer that differentiated from adult ISCs. Continuous proliferation/differentiation from ISCs consistently conferred the capability of maturation of enterocytes to HIECs over 25 passages.

Drug transfer into milk is a general concern during lactation. So far, breast cancer resistance protein (Bcrp) is the only transporter known to be involved in this process, whereas participation of other transporters remains unclear. We investigated the importance of organic cation transporter (Oct) in drug transfer into milk in mice.

Activation of β-adrenergic receptors (β-AR) drives proangiogenic factor production in several types of cancers. To examine β-AR regulation of breast cancer pathogenesis, β-AR density, signaling capacity, and functional responses to β-AR stimulation were studied in four human breast adenocarcinoma cell lines. β-AR density ranged from very low in MCF7 and MB-361 to very high in MB-231 and in a brain-seeking variant of MB-231, MB-231BR.
