Background: Paraquat (PQ) is a widely used pesticide, can cause severe intoxication and respiratory failure. Myrtenol (Mrl), an essential oil derived in various plants, exhibits several biological properties, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. This study aims to investigate the protective potential of Mrl against oxidative stress and inflammation caused by PQ exposure.

Background: Paraquat poisoning remains a critical public health issue with no established effective treatment. Hemoperfusion (HP) has been recognized for its potential to remove toxins and is widely employed in several developing countries for managing acute paraquat poisoning cases. However, the reluctance of some patients to undergo this recommended treatment has been observed but not thoroughly investigated.

Sudachitin (SCN) is a naturally occurring flavonoid that demonstrates a wide range of biological potentials. The current study was designed to investigate the alleviative potential of SCN to avert PQ-induced testicular toxicity in rats.
