Serum relaxin concentrations were quantitated throughout pregnancy. Relaxin levels were higher in the first than in either succeeding trimester of pregnancy. Relaxin concentrations in third-trimester twin pregnancies were not significantly different from those in singleton pregnancies. Relaxin levels in toxemic pregnancies were similar to those of normal pregnancy. In contrast, relaxin concentrations in pregnancies beyond 43 weeks' gestation and in women with premature labor were significantly lower than levels in normal women in the third trimester of pregnancy.

The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between the insulin-like peptide 3 (INSL3) receptor (RXFP2) expression levels on spermatozoa and INSL3 concentrations in the seminal plasma of fresh semen from beef bulls with different levels of sperm morphological normality. Ejaculates (n = 44) were collected from 21 yearling Japanese Black beef bulls and categorized into three groups based on the levels of sperm morphological normality: High (normal morphology ≥ 80%; n = 23), Mid (< 80% & ≥ 65%; n = 10) and Low (< 65%; n = 11). Immunofluorescence was used to determine the localization and expression levels of RXFP2 in spermatozoa.

Background: Sheep coccidiosis is an infectious parasitic disease that primarily causes diarrhea and growth retardation in young animals, significantly hindering the development of the sheep breeding industry. Cereal grains and animal feeds are frequently contaminated with mycotoxins worldwide, with aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) being the most common form. AFB1 poses a serious threat to gastrointestinal health upon ingestion and affects the function of parenteral organs, thus endangering livestock health.

Aims: Serelaxin is recombinant human relaxin-2, a hormone responsible for haemodynamic adaptations and organ protection in pregnancy. In the RELAX-AHF trial, serelaxin demonstrated reductions in cardiac, renal and hepatic damage. In RELAX-AHF-2, organ damage-related biomarkers were assessed in a biomarker substudy.

Fear-related psychopathologies, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, are linked to dysfunction in neural circuits that govern fear memory and arousal. The lateral hypothalamus (LH) and zona incerta (ZI) regulate fear, but our understanding of the precise neural circuits and cell types involved remains limited. Here, we examined the role of relaxin family peptide receptor 3 (RXFP3) expressing cells in the LH/ZI in conditioned fear expression and general arousal in male RXFP3-Cre mice.

Background: Hispolon, a phenolic compound isolated from the medicinal yellow fungal mulberry, exhibits a strong anti-triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) effect. However, the antitumor mechanisms of Hispolon have not been fully explored.
Objective: In this study, we systematically investigated the mechanism of Hispolon against TNBC based on bioinformatics and in vitro experiments.
