Introduction: The etiology of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) has not been fully understood, and oxidative stress may potentially contribute to its pathogenesis. However, there is no published evidence concerning the possible influence of oxidative stress on antidepressant treatment outcomes. This study investigated the ability of oxidative stress markers to predict treatment outcomes in GAD patients treated with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).

For decades, studies have tried to identify the cholesterol marker that best reflects risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease(ASCVD). Comparing low-density-lipoprotein(LDL) cholesterol, non-high-density-lipoprotein(non-HDL) cholesterol, and apolipoprotein B(apoB) as ASCVD risk markers has been challenged by high correlation between them. Thus, discordance analyses, directly addressing disagreements between the cholesterol markers, have emerged.

Background: Severe in-stent restenosis (ISR) following the implantation of drug-eluting stent (DES) can lead to recurrent angina pectoris or even acute myocardial infarction, thereby necessitating target lesion revascularization (TLR). Prior studies have confirmed the correlation between the monocyte to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (MHR) and ISR after DES implantation. The potential of MHR to predict TLR following DES implantation remains an area of ongoing research and may have significant clinical implications.

Background: Within 20 years, cardiovascular disease (CVD), which is currently the main cause of death in the Indian subcontinent, is expected to overtake all other causes of death in South Asia. Acute coronary syndrome (ACS), a critical form of CVD, is associated with multiple risk factors including hyperlipidemia. While triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs) and their remnants are well-studied traditional markers such as low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), new research indicates that they may possibly be important in ACS risk.
