Rationale: Previous studies evaluating the effect of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) on blood pressure (BP) showed variable results. Moreover, several studies recruited patients with normal or controlled BP, and compliance to antihypertensive drugs was not monitored. In addition, very few studies investigated central BP in this scenario.

This research aimed to estimate the direct costs and analyze the epidemiological aspects of ambulatory care-sensitive conditions (ACSC) in children under one year of age, São Paulo municipality, 2011-2022. Total and average costs were calculated according to ACSC diagnosis groups by components (early neonatal, late neonatal, and post-neonatal). The trend in ACSC rates was analyzed using Prais-Winsten generalized linear regression.

Introduction: Emerging evidence shows positive impact of postprofessional physical therapy education (residency and fellowship) specific to participants; however, outcomes on organizational impact are largely unknown. The purpose of this project was to describe the impact residency and fellowship training has on financial metrics. A secondary purpose of this case study was to describe trends associated with higher productivity.

Universal management strategies are not always applicable, owing to population diversity, and the Western trials may not be applicable to Japanese patients, owing to differences in demographics and clinical profiles. This paper examines the outcomes of revascularization in Japanese CLTI patients and emphasizes the benefits of tailored management.
