The inflorescences of are used as folk medicine to treat various respiratory diseases. In this work, we report the isolation of seven known flavones: 5-hydroxy-3,7-dimethoxyflavone , 5,8-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethoxyflavone , 5,7-dihydroxy-3,8-dimethoxyflavone (gnaphaliin A), 3,5-dihydroxy-7,8-dimethoxyflavone (gnaphaliin B), 3,5-dihydroxy-6,7,8-trimethoxyflavone , 3,5,7-trimethoxyflavone and 3--methylquercetin . All these flavones except and showed a relaxant effect on guinea pig tracheal preparation with EC between 69.

In this study, Tabu search algorithm was used to analyze the effect of Xingnaojing Injection in the treatment of cerebral hemorrhage in the real world. Through the analysis of the results, the therapies based on the pathogeny of cerebral hemorrhage were screened out: Xingnaojing Injection+hemostatic drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing stasis. Cerebral hemorrhage complicated with brain edema: combined with mannitol or mannitol+aescin.

Apigenin, was reported to have vasodilatory effects by inhibiting Ca influx through both voltage- and receptor-operated calcium channels, but not by inhibiting cAMP- or cGMP-phosphodiesterases (PDEs) in rat thoracic aorta. However, apigenin was reported to inhibit PDE1, 2 and 3 in guinea-pig lung and heart. The aim of this study was to clarify that guinea-pig tracheal relaxation by apigenin whether via PDE inhibition.

Ducke, was found to exert a relaxant effect on carbachol (CCh)-pre-contracted guinea-pig trachea. Based on cumulative concentration-response curves to CCh, FGAL antagonized muscarinic receptors pseudo-irreversibly and noncompetitively, since it inhibited and shifted these curves towards higher concentrations in a nonparallel manner.
