The structure of chronic pain and its treatment in 41 cases of advanced malignant tumor of genitals are discussed. Pain syndrome was found to have a certain pattern (site, acuteness, depth, irradiation) which may be used as an additional diagnostic parameter. Different types of analgetic blockade (neurolysis) e. g. subarachnoidal, peridural and sacral, as well as blockade of pudendal nerve were applied in the treatment. Subarachnoidal blockade by alcohol proved to be the most effective (78%) and lasting (22 days). Analgesia by sacral blockade is less effective but safer.

A 44 year-old previously healthy woman presented a persistent epigastric pain. Computed tomography revealed a saccular aneurysm with a diameter of 25x20 mm in the first jejunal artery and also a stenosis in the celiac trunk associated with median arcuate ligament syndrome, turning the hepatic perfusion dependent of the gastroduodenal artery flow. Through a midline laparotomy, celiac axis was exposed, and median arcuate ligament released for median arcuate ligament syndrome treatment.

Background And Objectives: Post-embolization syndrome (PES), characterized by pain, fever, nausea, and vomiting, is a common but non-serious adverse event following arterial embolization, negatively impacting patient satisfaction with the procedure. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of dexamethasone-based prophylactic therapy in preventing PES, as well as to assess the effects of its dosage and timing of administration.
Methods: A systematic search was conducted across three databases, two trial registries, and citation searches to identify relevant studies.

A free-floating disc shaped polycarbonate-urethane ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber reinforced medial compartment implant is designed for symptomatic postmedial meniscectomy syndrome. Because it is not sutured into place, an intact 2mm meniscus rim with intact anterior and posterior meniscal horns are required. In a recent 24-month follow-up study, only 64% of the original implants were retained.
