Background: Dysphagia, with its negative impact on life expectancy and quality of life, is a major side effect of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). In a typical Head and Neck Cancer Center, more than half of patients are affected. Improving treatment, and ideally prevention respectively prehabilitation, therefore seems more than desirable.

Background: Immediate-release (IR) amantadine has been used for treatment of levodopa induced dyskinesia (LID). The immediate-release/extended-release (IR/ER) amantadine formulation OS320 (OSMOLEX ER®) contains an IR outer layer and ER core for once-daily dosing.
Objective: Report individual and pooled results for the similarly designed double-blind, placebo-controlled ALLAY-LID I and II trials, assessing IR/ER-amantadine for LID.

Background: Beyond survival of nowadays >80%, modern childhood cancer treatment strives to preserve long-term health and quality of life. However, the majority of today's survivors suffer from short- and long-term adverse effects such as cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, obesity, osteoporosis, fatigue, depression, and reduced physical fitness and quality of life. Regular exercise can play a major role to mitigate or prevent such late-effects.
