Aims: Few prior studies have explored the relationship between phenylalanine and diabetic small vessel disease (SVD) in patients with different durations of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Our study aimed to explore whether phenylalanine is associated with the risk of SVD and to further explore whether phenylalanine interacted with the duration of T2DM to alter the risk of SVD.
Materials And Methods: A total of 1,032 T2DM patients were enrolled using the Liaoning Medical University First Affiliated Hospital (LMUFAH) system.

Tumor metastasis is a difficult clinical problem to solve due to tumor heterogeneity and the emergence of antiapoptotic clones driven by tumor evolution. Clinical combination chemotherapy remains a standard treatment for solid metastasis tumors but with worse treatment efficiency. It is worth exploring a high-efficiency and low-side-effect therapeutic method to solve solid metastases.

Introduction: Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) is a major determinant of cancer 5-fluorouracyl (5-FU) resistance via its direct degradation. However, the mechanisms of tumoral DPD upregulation have not been fully understood.
Objectives: This study aimed to explore the role of S1PR2 in the regulation of tumoral DPD expression, identifying S1PR2 as the potential target for reversing 5-FU resistance.

Environmental contamination with biofilm can be a source of healthcare-associated infections. Disinfection with various biocidal active substances is usually the method of choice to remove contamination with biofilm. In this study we tested 13 different disinfection protocols using gaseous ozone, citric acid, and three working concentrations of benzalkonium chloride-based professional disinfecting products on 24-hour-old biofilms formed by two strains on ceramic tiles.
