Cell therapy is an emerging strategy for precision treatment of scleroderma. This review systematically summarizes the research progress of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) and chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapies in scleroderma and discusses the challenges and future directions for development. MSCs possess multiple functions, including immunomodulation, anti-fibrosis, and promotion of vascular regeneration, all of which can improve multiple pathological processes associated with scleroderma.

Emerging engineered nanozymes: current status and future perspectives in cancer treatments.

Nanoscale Adv

Cancer Center, Department of Interventional Medicine, Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital (Affiliated People's Hospital), Hangzhou Medical College Hangzhou Zhejiang China

Composite nanozymes are composed of enzymes with similar or different catalytic capabilities and have higher catalytic activity than a single enzyme. In recent years, composite nanozymes have emerged as novel nanomaterial platforms for multiple applications in various research fields, where they are used to produce oxygen, consume glutathione, or produce toxic reactive oxygen species (ROS) for cancer therapy. The therapeutic approach using composite nanozymes is known as chemo-dynamic therapy (CDT).

Background: Several head-to-head meta-analyses have compared the efficacy and safety of different first-line treatments in patients with EGFR mutation-positive (M+) advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (nsq-NSCLC). However, there is a lack of comprehensive evaluation encompassing multiple treatment strategies. Our objective is to conduct a network meta-analysis that includes various treatment modalities, enabling both direct and indirect comparisons for a more thorough assessment.

Objectives: Mismatch repair (MMR)-deficient (dMMR) colorectal cancer (CRC) have been largely categorized into three subtypes: methylated, Lynch syndrome (LS)-associated, and Lynch-like syndrome (LLS)-associated. No studies have examined the prevalence and subtypes of synchronously diagnosed dMMR CRCs in detail. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the frequency and molecular characteristics of the dMMR status among multiple synchronous CRCs to clarify the clinical significance of identifying patients with such tumors.

DNA-based nanomaterials have attracted increasing attention over the past decades due to their incomparable programmability and functionality. In particular, dendritic DNA nanostructures are ideal for constructing drug carriers due to their highly branched structure. In this study, an intelligent drug delivery system was constructed based on DNA dendrimers, in which the DNA duplexes were utilized for simultaneously loading both hydrophilic and hydrophobic small molecule drugs.
