Iatrogenic aortocoronary dissection (IAD) during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is an uncommon and potentially life-threatening complication. Extension of dissection to the ascending aorta, despite early surgical management, carries a high morbidity and mortality risk. Depending on the severity of dissection, the approach to management ranges from monitoring to surgical intervention; more extensive dissections into the ascending aorta, typically more than 40 mm above the coronary ostium, are considered an indication for surgery.

Background: This study evaluated the early, 1-year, and 3-year graft patency rates and mid-term clinical outcomes after no-touch saphenous veins (NT-SVs) were used as aortocoronary grafts in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
Methods: In total, 101 patients who underwent CABG using NT-SVs as aortocoronary grafts were included. The 2 most common indications for performing aortocoronary grafting with NT-SVs were unavailability of the left internal thoracic artery (n=36) and moderate lesions where flow competition was expected (n=27).

Currently only the peripheral intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) device is approved for use in the United States. We queried the United States Food and Drug Administration's Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience (MAUDE) database from January 1, 2016 to December 14, 2020 for all reports of adverse events and modes of failure related to the peripheral IVL device, when used for on- and off-label indications. There were 20 reports of use in peripheral artery disease interventions and 3 reports of off-label use in coronary interventions.

The use of intraoperative fluorescence images with indocyanine green (ICG) has recently been described as an aid in decision-making during surgical procedures in adults. We present our first experiences with different laparoscopic procedures performed in children using ICG fluorescence images. We have used ICG fluorescence imaging technique in varicocele ligation, two nephrectomies, cholecystectomy, and one case of aortocoronary fistula closure.
