Our experience in treating 10 patients with intractable pain with paraplegia employing percutaneous epidural or dorsal column stimulation is presented. Initial and long-term results in this group are contrasted with those of 9 patients with intractable post-amputation or post-traumatic neuroma pain. The successful results of neurostimulation treatment of peripheral nerve pain contasts with the disappointing results in the treatment of paraplegic pain.

Compassion is an essential phenomenon in the therapeutic relationship, and some use it to justify physician-assisted dying practices. The value of compassion in the relationship between healthcare professionals and patients is undeniable. However, different approaches to its definition and scope can lead to distinct conclusions about the role of compassion in end-of-life interventions.

Parvovirus B19 is a common human infection worldwide and is typically self-limiting in healthy persons but immunocompromised patients require specific treatments. Pretransplant B19 screening doesn't seem to be important or have any impact on the transplantation process but cytomegalovirus (CMV) study is crucial. We present a kidney-transplanted child infected by parvovirus B19 and cytomegalovirus presented with intractable anemia and raised creatinine.

Objective: Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a common side effect of chemotherapy and it is currently intractable We compared the efficacy of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) against non-TEAS groups and investigated the variables that predict effective relief of upper extremity pain in cancer survivors with CIPN.
Methods: We retrospectively collected data of cancer survivors who developed CIPN between May 2017 to March 2022. All eligible CIPN patients were divided into TEAS group (received TEAS) and non-TEAS group (did not receive TEAS) in our department.

Background: Evidence of the effectiveness of physiotherapy, including muscle strength training, coordination training, aerobic exercise, cycling regimen, balance training, gait training, and activity of daily living training, in patients with degenerative cerebellar ataxia (DCA) was insufficient for clinical decision making. We aimed to explore clinical outcomes and examine the parameters associated with physical impairment and activity in people with DCA based on preregistration (PROSPERO: CRD42024493883).
Methods: The PubMed, Cochrane Library, CHINAL, and PEDro databases were searched for relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
