Histocompatibility antigen typing was performed on 12 Caucasian patients with the pigment dispersion syndrome. Increased prevalence of HLA-B13 and Bw17 that had been observed in a previous study (Becker et al. 1977) could not be confirmed in the present study. There were no significant increases of HLA-B7 and B12 in glaucoma patients with or without the pigment dispersion syndrome. HLA-Bw35 was increased in white patients with primary open-angle glaucoma in the Greater Detroit area.

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) prepared by sulfuric acid hydrolysis were added to phthalocyanine green colour pastes with a surfactant to improve stability. The particle size, zeta potential, absorbance, and microstructure of the colour pastes were analyzed and characterized. The mechanism of CNCs to enhance the stability of hydrophobic phthalocyanine green in water was investigated.

Radiative cooling is an excellent strategy for mitigating global warming, by enhancing heat fluxes away from the Earth, thus balancing the Earth's heat flow. However, for randomly particle-dispersed radiative cooling materials, the particle content as high as 94-96 wt % or 60 vol %, far exceeds the critical pigment percentage (40-50%) of traditional coatings, preventing its large-scale application. Here, inspired by particle deposition under gravity in solution, we demonstrate an auto-deposited SiO composite radiative cooling coating (ADRC) which reduces the amounts of particles required and lowers costs.

Self-assembled bottlebrush block copolymers (BBCPs) offer a vibrant, eco-friendly alternative to traditional toxic pigments and dyes, providing vivid structural colors with significantly reduced environmental impact. Scaling up the synthesis of these polymers for practical applications has been challenging with conventional batch methods, which suffer from slow mass and heat transfer, inadequate mixing, and issues with reproducibility. Precise control over molecular weight and dispersity remains a significant challenge for achieving finely tuned color appearances.

Spirulina platensis (SP) provides humans with proteins and natural pigments. The effects of micro/nanoplastics (MNPs) on SP are of great interest. We focused on the effects of high concentrations (100-300 mg/L) of polystyrene MNPs on SP for 50 days.
