Bone scintigraphic findings are presented in three pediatric patients with osteogenic sarcoma metastatic to lung. The bone imaging radionuclide was concentrated to a variable degree within the pulmonary metastases. Radionuclide bone imaging was valuable in confirming the presence of metastatic disease to lung in two patients and diagnosing previously unsuspected pulmonary metastatic disease in one patient.

Background: Extramedullary plasmacytoma (EMP) represents one of the rarer forms of plasma cell malignancies, capable of impacting a variety of tissues and organs throughout the body. The majority of EMP cases are predominantly found in the head and neck region, especially within the laryngopharynx, as well as in the gastrointestinal tract. While there have been documented instances of oropharyngeal involvement in EMP cases in the academic literature, it is important to note that EMP specifically affecting the uvula is exceedingly uncommon.

However, when a 2 mm compensation is systematically used on the worn side, the variability in cartilage thickness in the unworn compartment might alter the accuracy of the technique. This study aimed to validate two intraoperative femoral cartilage thickness measurement techniques by comparing them to the photographic method, which measures cartilage thickness through pixel analysis of bone-cut images.

Purpose: Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant tumor of the bone. However, there is a lack of effective means for early diagnosis due to the heterogeneity of tumors and the complexity of tumor microenvironment. αvβ3 integrin, a crucial role in the growth and spread of tumors, is not only an effective biomarker for cancer angiogenesis, but also highly expressed in many tumor cells.

Enthesitis related arthritis (ERA) is a specific type of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and ERA typically begins with enthesitis and peripheral arthritis in the lower extremities, progressing later in the disease to sacroiliitis and spinal involvement. The condition has a strong relationship with the HLA-B27 and primarily affects boys between the ages of 13 and 16 years. We describe an unusual presentation of ERA in a young boy with pubic pain and fever, describing its quintessential magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings.
