Wilms' tumor (WT), also known as nephroblastoma, is a malignant embryonal kidney tumor composed of embryonic cells and is the most prevalent tumor among children, but isolated cases occur infrequently in the adult population. Adult WT is defined according to the criteria of Kilton, Matthews, and Cohen, which comprise age above 15 years and histological patterns characteristic of WT. We report a case of an adult WT with venous thrombus on an incomplete duplex collecting system.

Objective: The effectiveness of using as an adjuvant therapy for patients with renal dysfunction (RD), especially acute kidney injury (AKI), is still a topic of debate. In response to the current conflicting data, the present meta-analysis was conducted to assess the clinical effectiveness of in the treatment of RD and to provide evidence for clinical practice.

Introduction: Cervical cancer remains the second most common cancer among women worldwide, with 85% of cases occurring in low-and middle-income countries (LMIC). Women living with HIV (WLWH) are at a particularly high risk of developing for high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN2/3) and cervical cancer, and the standard surgical treatment is far less effective in this population. Thus, research on medical therapies and combination treatment options remain a priority.

The incidence of melanoma has increased for decades, and while surgical treatment of early stage disease is often curative, metastatic disease continues to have significant morbidity and mortality and carries a high associated health burden and economic cost. An expanding number of dermatologists are playing a key role in coordinating the care of patients with advanced melanoma, including in the setting of multidisciplinary melanoma clinics, many of which are anchored in dermatology departments. Advances in the understanding of the genetic and immunoregulatory aspects of melanoma development and progression have yielded a wave of novel therapeutics that has made significant impact on the approach to patients with metastatic disease.

Total pharyngo-laryngo-esophagectomy (TPLE) with free jejunal transplantation (FJT) is the standard reconstructive procedure for hypopharyngeal cancer, typically utilizing the superior thyroid artery as the recipient vessel. However, patient-specific anatomical variations and comorbidities can significantly complicate this surgery. We present a unique case of a 68-year-old male with hypopharyngeal cancer who exhibited multiple challenges, including short stature (126 cm), low weight (35 kg), cervical spondylosis, and a history of vertebroplasty, highlighting the complexities inherent in such reconstructions.
