Background: Multiple myeloma (MM) represents the second most common hematological malignancy characterized by the infiltration of the bone marrow by plasma cells that produce monoclonal immunoglobulin. While the quality and length of life of MM patients have significantly increased, MM remains a hard-to-treat disease; almost all patients relapse. As MM is highly heterogenous, patients relapse at different times.

Background: The aim of the SURECAN trial is to evaluate a person-centred intervention, based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT Plus ( +)), for people who have completed treatment for cancer with curative intent, but are experiencing poor quality of life. We present the statistical analysis plan for assessing the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the intervention in improving quality of life 1 year post randomisation.
Methods And Design: SURECAN is a multi-centre, pragmatic, two-arm, partially clustered randomised controlled superiority trial comparing the effectiveness of ACT + added to usual care with usual aftercare.

Air pollution in cities, especially NO, is linked to numerous health problems, ranging from mortality to mental health challenges and attention deficits in children. While cities globally have initiated policies to curtail emissions, real-time monitoring remains challenging due to limited environmental sensors and their inconsistent distribution. This gap hinders the creation of adaptive urban policies that respond to the sequence of events and daily activities affecting pollution in cities.

Accurate, practical, and robust evaluation of the battery state of health is crucial to the efficient and reliable operation of electric vehicles. However, the limited availability of large-scale, high-quality field data hinders the development of the battery management system for state of health estimation, lifetime prediction, and fault detection in various applications. In this work, to gain insights into underlying factors limiting battery management system performance in real-world vehicles, we analyze the operational data of 300 diverse electric vehicles over three years to understand the disparities between field data and laboratory battery test data and their effect on state of health estimation.

Access to advanced medical procedures, such as gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy, is critical for effective healthcare. In Sub-Saharan Africa, including Sudan, GI endoscopy services remain limited, posing significant barriers to early diagnosis and treatment of GI diseases. Expanding GI endoscopy services in Sudan and other regions of Sub-Saharan Africa is crucial to improve early detection, reduce mortality, and increase the cost-effectiveness of healthcare delivery.
