Virus filtration is used to ensure the high level of virus clearance required in the manufacture of biopharmaceutical products such as monoclonal antibodies. Flux decline during virus filtration can occur due to the formation of reversible aggregates consisting of self-assembled monomeric monoclonal antibody molecules, particularly at high antibody concentrations. While size exclusion chromatography is generally unable to detect these reversible aggregates, dynamic light scattering may be used to determine their presence.

To prevent water scarcity, wastewater must be discharged to the surface or groundwater after being treated. Another method is to reuse wastewater in some areas after treatment and evaluate it as much as possible. In this study, it is aimed to recover and reuse the caustic (sodium hydroxide, NaOH) used in the recycling of plastic bottles from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) washing wastewater.

Purpose: Therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) is the treatment of choice in various neuro-immunological disorders in pediatric populations. This study assesses the safety and efficacy of TPE in this demographic.
Materials And Methods: A single-center, retrospective cohort study involving pediatric patients who experienced neuro-immunological events and underwent TPE procedures at a tertiary referral center was conducted.

Background Sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors are an emerging treatment for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The effect and tolerability of SGLT2 inhibitors in patients with T2DM, especially related risk factors and susceptible populations, are an area of ongoing research. Aim The aim of this study was to evaluate the tolerability of SGLT2 inhibitors, particularly the risk associated with urogenital infection, in patients with T2DM.

In the integrated circuit manufacturing process, reverse osmosis (RO) membranes are widely used for wastewater reclamation. However, fouling by typical surfactants significantly reduces membrane efficiency and lifespan. This study investigates the fouling mechanisms of typical surfactants-cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB, cationic), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS, anionic), and polyoxyethylene octyl phenyl ether (TX, nonionic)-on RO membranes.
