Introduction: Gliomas, particularly glioblastomas (GBM), are highly aggressive with a poor prognosis and low survival rate. Currently, deoxyelephantopin (DET) has shown promising anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects. Members of the genus are the conventional medicinal plants used in the therapeutic management of numerous ailments, especially for their antioxidant and pharmacological activities. The crude extract of was profiled using high-resolution GC-MS and LC-MS/MS techniques to determine possible bioactive compounds that are vital to the antioxidant activity. A total of 52 and 63 bioactive compounds have been detected in GC-MS chromatograms using different solvents (methanol and ethanol) in leaf extracts, representing the presence of certain bioactive compounds.

Schizophrenia (SCZ) is a chronic psychotic disorder that profoundly alters an individual's perception of reality, resulting in abnormal behavior, cognitive deficits, thought distortions, and disorientation in emotions. Many complicated factors can lead to SCZ, and investigations are ongoing to understand the neurobiological underpinnings of this condition. Presynaptic Netrin G1 and its cognate partner postsynaptic Netrin-G-Ligand-1 (NGL-1) have been implicated in SCZ.
