Background: Thick fetal corpus callosum (CC) is a rare finding and its significance in isolation is not clear. In this retrospective study, we aim to gain insight into the microarchitecture of CC in a cohort of fetuses with thick and short CC (isolated or associated with mild extra-/intracranial abnormalities) as seen on ultrasound (US), by using prenatal magnetic resonance (MR) diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) with fiber tractography, thereby allowing better characterization for postnatal prognosis.
Methods: Twelve fetuses met the inclusion criteria on US.

The SWItch/Sucrose Non-Fermenting (SWI/SNF) complexes are evolutionarily conserved, ATP-dependent chromatin remodelers crucial for multiple nuclear functions in eukaryotes. Recently, plant BCL-DOMAIN HOMOLOG (BDH) proteins were identified as shared subunits of all plant SWI/SNF complexes, significantly impacting chromatin accessibility and various developmental processes in Arabidopsis. In this study, we performed a comprehensive characterization of mutants, revealing the role of BDH in hypocotyl cell elongation.

People with mosaicism for trisomy 21 have been shown to exhibit many of the same phenotypic traits present in people with non-mosaic Down syndrome, but with varying symptom severity. However, the behavioral phenotype of people with mosaic Down syndrome (mDS) has not been well characterized. This study aimed to examine the prevalence of self-report and caregiver-report symptoms of depression and anxiety among a sample of 62 participants with mDS aged 12-46 and assess their association with the percentage of trisomy 21 in blood and/or buccal mucosa cells.

The atomic dispersion of nickel in Ni-N-C catalysts is key for the selective generation of carbon monoxide through the electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CORR). Herein, the study reports a highly selective, atomically dispersed Ni-N-C catalyst with reduced Ni loading compared to previous reports. Extensive materials characterization fails to detect Ni crystalline phases, reveals the highest concentration of atomically dispersed Ni metal, and confirms the presence of the proposed Ni-N active site at this reduced loading.

The G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) pharmacology accounts for a significant field in research, clinical studies, and therapeutics. Computer-aided drug discovery is an evolving suite of techniques and methodologies that facilitate accelerated progress in drug discovery and repositioning. However, the structure-activity relationships of molecules targeting GPCRs are highly challenging in many cases since slight structural modifications can lead to drastic changes in biological functionality.
