Equations used for calculation of radioimmunoassay data are derived and compared. We show that the equation developed by Fernandez and Loeb is the most general of these. Those of Ekins et al., Hales and Randle, and Rodbard et al. are all derived here from this basic equation by neglecting certain of its terms. The logit-log plot of Rodbard et al. is a logarithmic transformation of the linear Hales-Randle equation. The basic equation, derived here solely from the mass-action law, approaches linearity under certain conditions without complex mathematical transformations of analyte concentrations or observable parameters. Applications are also presented.

To evaluate the incidence and risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) among Korean patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) comparing them to diabetes patients and the general population. This nationwide cohort study focused on incident SLE patients aged over 40 years, matched with diabetes patients and the general population (1:4:4 ratio). CVD was defined as ischaemic heart disease, ischaemic stroke, and cardiac arrest.

The electromagnetic characteristics of a single-phase permanent magnet linear oscillation actuator are analyzed by the finite element method. Firstly, the basic structure and operation principle of the linear oscillation actuator are introduced. The internal stator slot and arc tooth are used to reduce the detent force.

Correctly fixing the integer ambiguity of GNSS is the key to realizing the application of GNSS high-precision positioning. When solving the float solution of ambiguity based on the double-difference model epoch by epoch, the common method for resolving the integer ambiguity needs to solve the coordinate parameter information, due to the influence of limited GNSS phase data observations. This type of method will lead to an increase in the ill-posedness of the double-difference solution equation, so that the fixed success rate of the integer ambiguity is not high.

The multi-parameter and nonlinear characteristics of the Smith Watson Topper (SWT) equation present considerable challenges for predicting the fatigue life of 2024-T3 clad Al alloy. To overcome these challenges, a novel model integrating traditional fatigue analysis methods with machine learning algorithms is introduced. An improved SWT fatigue life prediction equation is developed by incorporating key factors such as the mean stress effect, stress concentration factor, and surface roughness coefficient.

Background/objectives: As fitness apps increasingly incorporate social interaction features, users may find themselves overwhelmed by an excess of received support, struggling to effectively manage it. Highlighting a novel recipient-centric perspective, we aim to investigate the impact of social support overload on users' life burnout and discontinuance within fitness apps.
Methods: Utilizing Social Support Theory and Basic Psychological Needs Theory, we develop a model to examine how emotional, network, and informational support overload affect life burnout and discontinuance through the frustration of basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence, and relatedness.
