Background: Dynamins are defined as a group of molecules with GTPase activity that play a role in the formation of endocytic vesicles and Golgi apparatus. Among them, DNM3 has gained recognition in oncology for its tumor suppressor role. Based on this, the aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the DNM3 gene in patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer using bioinformatics databases.

Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the third leading cause of death worldwide, so prevention and early diagnosis play important roles to reduce mortality and morbidity. Traditional risk-score assessments were used to find the at-risk patients in order to prevent or early treatment of CAD. Adding imaging data to traditional risk-score systems will able us to find these patients more confidently and reduce the probable mismanagements.

Purpose: Chemical chelation with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) is an established treatment for calcific band keratopathy (CBK), whereas removal of calcium deposits from the subepithelial layer of the cornea may cause corneal irregularity. Using Fourier harmonic analysis, we analyzed the corneal topography in eyes with CBK treated by EDTA chelation.

Study Design: Retrospective, single-center study.

Cardiovascular Disease-Specific Responses to Autonomic Denervation.

JACC Clin Electrophysiol

January 2025

Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, General Hospital of Northern Theater Command, Shenyang, Liaoning, China. Electronic address:

Background: Calcium-mediated autonomic denervation has been shown to suppress postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) after coronary artery bypass grafting.

Objectives: This study sought to evaluate whether similar autonomic denervation can prevent POAF after mitral or aortic valve surgeries.

Methods: This research consisted of 2 single-center, randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled trials: CAP-AF2 (Calcium Autonomic Denervation Prevents Postoperative Atrial Fibrillation in Patients Undergoing Isolated Mitral Valve Surgery for Mitral Regurgitation) for mitral valve (MV) surgery and CAP-AF3 (Calcium Autonomic Denervation Prevents Postoperative Atrial Fibrillation in Patients Undergoing Isolated Aortic Valve Surgery) for aortic valve surgery.

Objectives: To identify associations between 24-h urine abnormalities and clinical risk factors for recurrent stone formers.

Patients And Methods: The Registry for Stones of the Kidney and Ureter was queried for all patients who underwent 24-h urine studies. Patients were categorised by the number of clinical risk factors for recurrent stone disease.
