Purpose: This study reports the relationship between posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) retention vs resection and soft tissue laxity and balance throughout flexion using a robotically controlled ligament tensioner.
Methods: 55 robotic-assisted TKAs (Total knee arthroplasty) were retrospectively reviewe. The robotic ligament tensioner collected laxity data both before and after PCL resection.

Due to individual differences, accurate identification of tissue elastic parameters is essential for biomechanical modeling in surgical guidance for hepatic venous injections. This paper aims to acquire the absolute Young's modulus of heterogeneous soft tissues during endoscopic surgery with 2D ultrasound images. First, we introduced a force-sensor-less approach that utilizes a pre-calibrated soft patch with a known Young's modulus and its ultrasound images to calculate the external forces exerted by the probe on the tissue.

Pre- and postoperative photos to assess results are widely used in plastic and reconstructive surgery, for instance, in patients with cleft lip and palate (CL/P). Evaluations are often performed by assessment panels by viewing the photos. However, these are prone to be subjective.

Aim: Tissue-invasive bacteria have been proposed to be a crucial factor in the etiopathogenesis of periodontitis, with the probable interaction of tissue-invasive bacteria with the innate immune response through inflammasomes, perpetuating periodontal attachment loss. This study aims to reveal the correlation between such tissue-invasive bacteria in upregulating inflammasomes and pro-inflammatory cytokines.
Materials And Methods: This study recruited a total of 10 patients with stage III/IV and grade C periodontitis based on the bone loss to age ratio.

Aim: To assess hard as well as soft peri-implant tissues within cases having two lost adjacent anterior teeth treated through placing either two implants with two separate crowns or only an implant along with a crown with a cantilever, and evaluating the effect of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) restoration on cantilever design up to 18 months after functional loading.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-seven participants (15 males and 12 females; mean age, 38.6 years; range 20-50 years) with missing two adjacent anterior teeth were treated with implant system (Flotecno implant system, Italy).
