Bio-nanopore technology holds great promise in biomacromolecule detection, with its high throughput and low cost positioning it as an ideal detection tool. This technology employs a unique detection mechanism that utilizes nanoscale pores to rapidly and sensitively convert biological molecules interactions into electrical signals, enabling real-time, single-molecule detection with exceptional sensitivity. This review focuses on the latest advancements in this technology across various domains, including DNA and RNA sequencing, protein detection, and small molecule identification.

Purpose: This study was aimed to assess the effect of intermittent fetal heart rate (FHR) monitoring using Moyo Doppler compared with fetoscope in hospitals of Ethiopia, 2023.
Background: To facilitate more prompt identification of a hypoxic fetus, Laerdal Global Health has recently introduced the Moyo FHR monitor. Nevertheless, there exists limited knowledge regarding its efficacy derived from multicenter contextual trials conducted in resource-constrained environments, specifically in Ethiopia.

Pullorum, the causative agent of pullorum disease, posing a significant threat to the global production of poultry meat and eggs. However, existing detection methods have substantial limitations in efficiency and accuracy. Herein, we developed a genomic deletion-targeted TaqMan qPCR assay for identification of Pullorum, enabling precise differentiation from other serovars.

Introduction: Meticillin resistant (MRSA) is a major contributor to surgical site infections in post-operative patients. Hospital environments harbor MRSA, contributing to higher risk of nosocomial infections. Meticillin resistance is conferred by acquisition of gene, typically carried on mobile genetic element called Staphylococcal Cassette Chromosome (SCC).

Background: Adding pembrolizumab, an anti-PD-1 antibody approved for treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) to neoadjuvant (induction-) chemotherapy utilizing docetaxel and cisplatin (TP) followed by radiotherapy may improve outcome in larynx organ-preservation (LOP) that is investigated in the European Larynx-Organ preservation Study (ELOS). As biomarkers for response to TP and pembrolizumab +TP are missing but may include cytokines, this work aims on determining cytokines potentially linked to outcome as prognostic markers sufficient to predict and/or monitor response to successful LOP.
Methods: Collagenase IV digests were generated from 47 histopathological confirmed HNSCC tumor samples and seeded in 96-well plates containing pembrolizumab, docetaxel, cisplatin either solely or in binary or ternary combination.
