Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a major health problem worldwide. There are scarce data on the recent temporal trends of patients with VTE after the widespread use of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs).
Methods And Results: In a Japanese nationwide hospital administrative database, we identified 20,217 patients with VTE from 2017 to 2023, and evaluated their temporal trends in management strategies and clinical outcomes.

Tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) remains an unsolved medical problem due to its poor local recurrence rate and prognosis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression characteristics of RAC-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1(RAC1) in TSCCS and its role in tumor invasion and metastasis. In this study, immunohistochemical staining was used to detect RAC1 expression in 150 tongue cancer specimens.

Diabetes-related foot disease is arguably the world's least known major health problem and causes a disease burden larger than most well-known diseases, such as stroke and breast cancer. This burden is driven by people developing more severe stages of foot disease, such as foot ulcers and infections, and with that worsening quality of life. To reduce this burden, we need treatments that prevent more severe stages of foot disease and improve quality of life.
