Purpose: This project aimed to minimize medication errors and improve safe medication administration in an oncology setting in Muscat, Oman.
Methods: The study, spanning from the second quarter of 2022 to the first quarter of 2023, employed a one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design, assessing key performance indicators (medication error and medication administration errors rates per 1000 patient days) on quarterly basis before and after implementing targeted interventions. Interventions focused on medication management processes and Healthcare Informatics System (HIS), Environment and equipment, and Education The project utilized the FOCUS PDCA (find, organize, clarify, understand, select, plan, do, check and act) methodology.

Unlabelled: Metaphyseal comminution in distal radius fracture (DRF) cases might indicate severe osteoporosis. The patients with DRFs and metaphyseal comminution showed 5.2-fold increased secondary fractures compared with those receiving combination osteoporosis therapy.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common degenerative bone and joint disease with an unclear pathogenesis. Our study identified that the histone acetyltransferase encoded by Kat7 is upregulated in the affected articular cartilage of OA patients and in a mice model of medial meniscal instability-induced OA. Chondrocyte-specific knockdown of Kat7 expression exhibited a protective effect on articular cartilage integrity.

MXenes, with their good biocompatibility, excellent photovoltaic properties, excellent physicochemical properties, and desirable bioactivity, have broad application prospects in the field of tissue regeneration. MXenes have been used in a wide range of applications including biosensing, bioimaging, tumour/infection therapy, bone regeneration and wound repair. By applying bioactive materials to modify the surface of MXenes, a series of multifunctional MXene-based nanomaterials can be designed for different biomedical applications to achieve better therapeutic effects or more desirable biological functions.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the e!ect of arthroscopic Bankart repair (ABR) alone and ABR with an additional remplissage procedure on joint range of motion and functional results in patients with anterior shoulder instability.
Methods: This retrospective study included patients treated 1 year ago with either ABR alone or the ABR additional remplissage procedure. The Bankart lesion was determined by magnetic resonance imaging, and the amount of glenoid bone loss was determined by computed tomography.
