A rapid and effective method of securing multiple skin grafts to burned children is described. It entails stapling an elastic net over grafts that have been backed onto Sofratulle. The staples pierce normal or healed tissue on the periphery of the wound, thus avoiding hemorrhage. The two-way stretch of the net prevents shearing during movement yet facilitates access for adjustment and routine graft care. Skin grafts are held against their bed with firm, even pressure. This method is not only easier and more rapid than direct stapling methods but offers a better prospect of a complete take.

Multiplex digital PCR enables sensitive detection of resistance to BTK inhibitors.

Ann Hematol

Service de Thérapie Cellulaire et d'Hématologie Clinique, CHU Estaing, Clermont-Ferrand, France.

The advent of BTK inhibitors has been transformative in the management of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or other B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders. However, emergence of BTK or PLCG2 mutations lead to resistance to these compounds and are now a growing concern in clinical practice. Assessing BTK mutations is now becoming a priority to guide the therapeutic decision at further relapse.

Intelligent control algorithms for posture and height control of four-leg hydraulic supports.

School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering, China University of Mining & Technology, Beijing, 100083, China.

To address limitations of traditional inclinometers and height sensors in determining the posture and support height of hydraulic supports in coal mining, we propose a novel method predicated on travel measurements of the leg and tail beam cylinders. This method calculates the posture and height of hydraulic supports in mechanized mining. By conducting meticulous kinematic analysis of the hydraulic supports, a skeleton model of the main structural parameters of the hydraulic support was constructed.

Zebrafish are widely used in research, accounting for approximately 50% of all laboratory fish across Europe. Due to their rapid reproduction and aging, effective and practical euthanasia methods are necessary for managing large stocks. This study investigated whether adult zebrafish can be euthanised by delivering an electrical current directly via the water in their housing aquaria.

The context of rapid global environmental change underscores the pressing necessity to investigate the environmental factors and high-risk areas that contribute to the occurrence of brucellosis. In this study, a maximum entropy (MaxEnt) model was employed to analyze the factors influencing brucellosis in the Aksu Prefecture from 2014 to 2023. A distributed lag nonlinear model (DLNM) was employed to investigate the lagged effect of meteorological factors on the occurrence of brucellosis.
