Structural batteries offer a transformative approach to integrate energy storage directly into the frameworks of electric vehicles and aircrafts, enabling multifunctional construction. This study presents a nacre-inspired multilayer composite electrode fabricated via the cold sintering process (CSP), achieving a balance of enhanced electrochemical performance and mechanical robustness. The composite electrode combines active electrode materials with a ductile conducting polymer-carbon-mixture phase in a layered architecture.

Case: We present a 42-year-old man who developed extensive left lower extremity arterial thrombosis following COVID-19 pneumonia. Despite multiple revascularization attempts and a below-knee amputation, he faced wound necrosis and insufficient soft tissue coverage. An innovative approach using a pedicled flap and sequential flow-through free flaps was used for limb salvage.

A common approach to balance assessment involves recording center of pressure (CoP) displacements using force platforms, with various indicators proposed to distinguish subtle balance differences. However, these indicators have not reached a consensus, and it remains unclear whether these analyses alone can fully explain the complex interactions of postural control.
