GRAS, termed after gibberellic acid insensitive (GAI), RGA (repressor of GA1), and SCR (scarecrow), is a plant-specific transcription factor crucial for plant development and stress response. However, understanding of the functions played by the GRAS members and their target genes in citrus is limited. In this study, we identified a cold stress-responsive GRAS gene from , designated as PtrPAT1, by yeast one-hybrid library screening using the promoter of , a betaine aldehyde dehydrogenase (BADH)-like gene.

Introduction: Neck ultrasonography (US) and fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy are usually used to evaluate thyroid nodules. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of two popular thyroid imaging reporting systems in detecting thyroid malignancy and to evaluate the correlation between thyroid autoimmunity, nodule site, and size in the development of malignancy.

Methods: This prospective study was conducted from January 2019 to July 2021 in Basrah, Iraq.

Methods based on enzyme labelling strategies have been widely developed for capacitance immunoassays, but most suffer from low sensitivity and are unfavorable for routine use in the early stages of diagnostics. Herein, we designed a highly efficient capacitance immunosensing method for the low-abundance neuroblastoma biomarker neuron-specific enolase (NSE) using an interdigitated micro-comb electrode. Initially, monoclonal mouse anti-human NSE capture antibodies were immobilized on the interdigitated gold electrodes using bovine serum albumin.

Cotton is essential for the global textile industry however, climate change, especially extreme temperatures, threatens sustainable cotton production. This research aims to identify breeding strategies to improve heat tolerance and utilize stress-resistant traits in cotton cultivars. This study investigated heat tolerance for 50 cotton genotypes at the seedling stage by examining various traits at three temperatures (32 °C, 45 °C and 48 °C) in a randomized plot experiment.

Plastic pollution and global warming are widespread issues that lead to several impacts on aquatic organisms. Despite harmful studies on both subjects, there are few studies on how temperature increases plastics' adverse effects on aquatic animals, mainly freshwater species. So, this study aims to clarify the potential impact of temperature increases on the toxicological properties of polyvinyl chloride nano-plastics (PVC-NPs) in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) by measuring biochemical and oxidative biomarkers.
