In radio frequency identification (RFID), differences in spectrum policies and tag misreading in different countries are the two main issues that limit its application. To solve these problems, this article proposes a composite right/left-handed transmission line (CRLH-TL)-based reconfigurable antenna for ultra-high frequency near-field and far-field RFID reader applications. The CRLH-TL is achieved using a periodically capacitive gap-loaded parallel plate line.

Introduction: Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is widely used for the noninvasive activation of neurons in the human brain. It utilizes a pulsed magnetic field to induce electric pulses that act on the central nervous system, altering the membrane potential of nerve cells in the cerebral cortex to treat certain mental diseases. However, the effectiveness of TMS can be compromised by significant heat generation and the clicking noise produced by the pulse in the TMS coil.

Animals employ various strategies to minimize the overlap of their vocalizations with other sounds, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of their communication. However, little attention has been given to experimentally examining how the structure of the acoustic signal changes in response to various kinds of disturbances in the soundscape. In this study, I experimentally investigated whether male thrush nightingales (Luscinia luscinia) adjust their singing rate, song frequency, and song type in response to different types of artificial sounds.

However, the design of such transceiver coils and coil arrays often faces technical challenges in achieving the required high operating frequency at the ultrahigh fields and sufficient electromagnetic (EM) decoupling between resonant elements. In this work, we propose a high impedance microstrip transmission line resonator (HIMTL) technique that has unique high frequency capability and adequate EM decoupling without the use of dedicated decoupling circuits.

In response to the demand for epoxy-based dielectric substrates with low dielectric loss in high-frequency and high-speed signal transmission applications, this study presents a surface-engineered filler material. Utilizing ball-milling, surface-modified aluminum flakes containing organic (stearic acid) and inorganic (aluminum oxide) coatings are developed.
