Introduction: Informed consent is critical to medical practice, and a clearly outlined process that results in signing the consent form may improve the validity of the given consent. There is a paucity of studies in Malawi that have assessed the informed consent process in surgical patients.

There are four paths to a Swedish medical license. A shared agreement exists for those converting from a European license to recognize qualifications granted in the respective countries mutually. Swedish medical graduates and International Medical Graduates (IMGs) trained outside the EU/EES/Schweiz are assessed against the professional qualifications specified in the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100).

Background And Purpose: Informed consent from trial participants is mandatory. In a randomized clinical trial, we investigated (1) differences in knowledge and understanding of trial information between patients who participated and those who refrained, (2) differences in perceptions of information, and (3) differences in satisfaction with the information.
Patients: After the decision about participation in the randomized study, 'Surgery versus radiotherapy for locally advanced prostate cancer' (SPCG-15), patients were sent questionnaires ('Quality of Informed Consent', EORTC QLQ-INFO25).

Background: Thailand has made significant progress in malaria control efforts in the past decade, with a decline in the number of reported cases. However, due to cross-border movements over the past 5 years, reported malaria cases in Thailand have risen. The Malaria Infection Study in Thailand (MIST) involves deliberate infection of healthy volunteers with Plasmodium vivax malaria parasites, and the assessment of the efficacy of potential vaccine and drug candidates in order to understand acquired protection against malaria parasites.

The study was carried out on the basis of a systematic approach using the methods of dialectical and formal logic, general scientific and special legal research methods.
