Background: Hypopituitarism may trigger the development of acute pancreatitis (AP) through multiple mechanisms. AP may alter normal intracardiac conduction leading to an atrioventricular block. Due to the lack of similar cases, the correct timing and indication for pacemaker implantation in such a setting are unknown.

We present the case of a fetus with cardiac capillary hemangioma in the right atrial cavity. The tumor showed dramatic growth between the 28 and 32 week of gestation and resulted in tachyarrhythmia. The patient was born at the 33 weeks of gestation weighing 2430 g via urgent cesarean section because the rapidly growing cardiac tumor caused incessant tachyarrhythmia, pericardial effusion, and fetal circulatory incompetence.

Background: Accelerated idioventricular rhythm (AIVR) is known as reperfusion arrhythmia in the setting of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). In healthy individuals, it is usually considered to be benign. Alternating bundle branch block (ABBB) often progresses to complete atrioventricular block requiring permanent pacemaker implantation.

Pathological Features of Complete Atrioventricular Block in Dogs with Lymphocytic Myocarditis.

J Comp Pathol

January 2020

Laboratory of Veterinary Clinical Oncology, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, 3-5-8 Saiwai-cho, Fuchu, Tokyo. Electronic address:

The cardiac conduction system was examined histologically in 12 canine cases of lymphocytic myocarditis with complete atrioventricular (AV) block. Histological analysis showed active myocarditis characterized by intense infiltration of mononuclear cells, primarily lymphoid, associated with degeneration and necrosis of the adjacent cardiomyocytes. Additionally, there was healing or healed myocarditis manifested by disappearance of cardiomyocytes and replacement fibrosis.
