A simple method for the removal of linear tattoos is described, where tissue destruction is limited to tattooed skin and the resulting necrosis does not extend more than 1 mm into non-tattooed skin. The epidermis overlying tattooed skin can easily be scraped after heat separation. Table salt is rubbed into and left on the area where epidermis has been removed.
