The urachus, an embryonic organ associated with the bladder, typically undergoes degeneration shortly after birth. Inadequate closure of the urachus can result in urachal malformations, with the most common being a urachal cyst. Failure to promptly identify and address this condition can lead to complications such as sepsis, fistula development, and cyst rupture, mimicking symptoms of peritonitis.

Umbilical granuloma may be defined as a small mass of granulation tissue which develops at the base of the umbilicus after separation of the cord. It consists of true granulation tissue with fibroblast and abundant capillaries. Treatment options are chemical cauterization, electro cauterization and sometimes need surgical excision.

Background: The umbilicus significantly contributes to abdominal aesthetics, with its reconstruction often necessary after certain procedures like umbilical herniorrhaphy, laparotomies, and abdominoplasty. Neoumbilicoplasty techniques have evolved, addressing various issues through approaches like skin and cartilage grafts, and local flaps. We are reporting our technique for neoumbilicoplasty.

Primary extrapelvic endometriosis is the presence of endometrial tissue in sites outside the uterine cavity in an individual who has had no prior abdominal surgeries. Various theories have been postulated to describe the etiology of endometriosis. Our case study involves a multiparous patient in her late 40s with no prior abdominal surgeries who presented with bleeding from her umbilicus associated with swelling and pain corresponding to her menstrual cycle.

Aim: This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety of topical application of common salt (CS) in comparison to silver nitrate (SN) for treating infants with umbilical granuloma (UG).
Materials And Methods: We conducted an open-label, prospective, single-center, pilot randomized controlled trial. Thirty-seven infants with a clinical UG diagnosis were enrolled between October 2022 and July 2023, excluding those previously treated for UG.
