Purpose: To analyze the outcomes of corneal transplantation procedures over a 13-year period at Farabi Eye Hospital, Tehran, Iran, to identify trends and determinants influencing the frequency and success of primary and re-transplantations.
Methods: Utilizing a comprehensive dataset from the hospital's Hospital Information System, the study reviewed the records of 8,378 patients who underwent corneal transplants between 2009 and 2022. This analysis included demographic information, surgical details, and follow-up data.

Purpose: We surveyed vitreoretinal (VR) fellowship program directors (PDs) to elucidate how they assess surgical competency among VR fellows. In addition, we also surveyed fellowship program graduates for the years 2022 and 2023 regarding assessment metrics and tools used during VR fellowship training.
Design: Web-based, cross-sectional descriptive study.
Purpose: Pars Plana Vitrectomy (PPV) is a primary surgical method for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD). The introduction of the 3D head-up system has provided ophthalmologists with a new surgical experience. This study aims to compare the surgical outcomes between 3D low-light intensity-assisted and traditional eyepiece-assisted PPV for RRD.

Invasive aspergillosis (IA) significantly increases mortality in critically ill patients in the ICU and its occurrence is closely related to immunocompromise. Dissemination of IA is easily misdiagnosed and mistreated due to its ability to invade multiple systems throughout the body and lack of typical clinical manifestations. In this case, a 25-year-old previously healthy woman was hospitalized with fulminant myocarditis and treated with veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane pulmonary oxygenation (VA-ECMO) support and intravenous acyclovir, high-dose methylprednisolone, and immunoglobulin.
