Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) infection, responsible for chikungunya fever and occasionally severe symptoms, has emerged as an increasing global health concern following several large-scale outbreaks from Africa, Asia, Europe, and America. Over the past two decades, South and Southeast Asia regions have gradually become hot spots for outbreaks involving multiple CHIKV lineages. In China, most CHIKV infections are imported, making it crucial to trace the origins and transmission routes for effective prevention and control.

The Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016-2030 targets eliminating malaria from at least 35 countries and reducing case incidence by 90% globally. The importation of parasites due to human mobilization poses a significant obstacle to achieve malaria elimination as it can undermine the effectiveness of local interventions. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of parasite importation is essential to support control efforts and advance progress toward elimination.

Purpose: Retroperitoneal sarcomas (RPS) present a surgical challenge due to their complex anatomical relationships to organs and vascular structures. In this limited case series, we reconstructed the tumour beds of four cases of RPS and their ex vivo specimens.
Methods: Four patients underwent surgical resection of their retroperitoneal sarcoma at our centre in 2023-2024.
