Background: The Anticholinergic Risk Scale and Total Anticholinergic Load were developed to assess the risks associated with anticholinergic drugs. Recently, the Japan Anticholinergic Risk Scale was introduced; however, the total anticholinergic load for adverse events has not been clarified, and the criteria for risk assessment in clinical practice have not been established. In this study, we used data from the Japanese Adverse Drug Event Report (JADER) database provided by the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency to determine the total anticholinergic load associated with reported adverse events related to anticholinergic syndrome.

Escherichia coli has become a common causative agent of infections in animals, inflicting serious economic losses on livestock production and posing a threat to public health. Escherichia coli infection is common and tends to be complex in Xinjiang, a major region of cattle and sheep breeding in China. This study aims to explore the current status and molecular characteristics of Escherichia coli infection in cattle and sheep in Xinjiang, as part of the disease prevention and control strategy.

Rearrangements involving the DUX4 gene (DUX4-r) define a subtype of paediatric and adult acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) with a favourable outcome. Currently, there is no 'standard of care' diagnostic method for their confident identification. Here, we present an open-source software tool designed to detect DUX4-r from short-read, whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data.
