: This study investigates the prevalence of calcification in mediastinal lymph nodes among sarcoidosis patients and the influencing factors. Sarcoidosis is a multisystemic inflammatory disease characterized by non-caseating epithelioid granulomas. Bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy (LAP) is the most common radiographic finding, with studies showing a correlation between the frequency of lymph node calcification and disease duration, with a frequency of 3% relating to a duration of 5 years and a frequency of 20% relating to one of 10 years.

Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disease affecting multiple organ systems and poses a diagnostic challenge due to its diverse clinical manifestations and absence of specific diagnostic tests. Currently, blood biomarkers such as ACE, sIL-2R, CD163, CCL18, serum amyloid A, and CRP are employed to aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of sarcoidosis. Metabolomics holds promise for identifying highly sensitive and specific biomarkers.

Background: Diagnosis of sarcoidosis often involves endobronchial biopsy (EBB), but studies have shown varying yields for EBB in suspected sarcoidosis, partly due to differences in identifying abnormal mucosa under white light (WL). Narrow band imaging (NBI) may assist in the visualization of abnormal mucosa, but its role in sarcoidosis remains to be characterized.
Methods: Individuals referred for suspected sarcoidosis were considered for enrollment.

Organ function depends on the three-dimensional integrity of the extracellular matrix (ECM). The structure resulting from the location and association of ECM components is a central regulator of cell behavior, but a dearth of matrix-specific analysis keeps it unresolved. Here, we deploy a high-resolution, 3D ECM mapping method and design a machine-learning powered pipeline to detect and characterize ECM architecture during health and disease.

This review explores the progressive domain of network pharmacology and its potential to revolutionize therapeutic approaches for Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILDs), a collective term encompassing Interstitial Pneumonia, Pneumoconiosis, Connective Tissue Disease-related ILDs, and Sarcoidosis. The exploration focuses on the profound legacy of traditional medicines, particularly Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM), and their largely unexplored capacity in ILD treatment. These ancient healing systems, characterized by their holistic methodologies and multifaceted treatment modalities, offer a promising foundation for discovering innovative therapeutic strategies.
